Your vehicle needs to be lubricated in order to function as expected; simple as that. However, if you're unaware of how you should be lubricating your vehicle, read the post below for a better idea.

How to Lubricate Your Vehicle Properly

  1. First, there's the motor synthetic oil, which is what lubricates and protects the engine. It is crucial that you replace it regularly, so your engine doesn't waste away faster than it has to.
  2. The transmission system in your vehicle requires transmission fluid. Like the synthetic oil, it lubricates the components, which allows you to change gears effectively.
  3. Aside from providing protection like the past lubes here, the brake fluid also aids the transference of power in the braking system, so saying it's important is an understatement.
  4. Lest you're driving down a straight road, you will need to make use of the power steering system and of its power steering fluid, which is also a lubricant and a hydraulic fluid.
  5. A few items in your vehicle, like the wheel bearings, will require a thicker lubricant, like a grease, in order to prevent premature wear and tear.
  6. Depending on the type of vehicle you have, you may also need gear lube. More powerful vehicles, such as big trucks, will need it since regular oil is too thin for their requirements.
  7. Next up, there are penetration lubricants. They have a thinner consistency, which lets them get into nooks and crannies to lubricate them (e.g. if you need to loosen up a bolt).
  8. Lastly, much like the penetration lubricants, dry lubricants are used to penetrate small spaces. However, they're used to lubricate spaces that don't allow moisture (e.g. door lock),
